Privacy Policy

This policy is a template pending attorney review and does not yet carry an effective date. It works together with the Terms of Service.

1. What we store

  • Account data. Sign-in and identity information is handled by Clerk, our authentication provider (Section 3). We store the minimum account metadata needed to associate documents with your account.
  • Documents and version history. The documents you create, edit, or check in — including their version history — are stored in our Postgres database, hosted on Neon (Section 3).

2. What we do not do

Your documents never leave our infrastructure for processing. We do not send documents to third-party cloud conversion services. We do not use your document content to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s. We do not sell or share your document content with third parties.

3. Processors

We use a small number of third-party services to operate DraftLint, each limited to the function named below:

  • Clerk — authentication and account identity.
  • Neon — our Postgres database, where documents and version history are stored.
  • Our hosting provider — runs the application itself.

When purchasing launches (see the Terms of Service), we will add Stripe as a payment processor for the one-time per-document export unlock, and this policy will be updated accordingly.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep your account and document data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account or your documents, contact support (Section 5) — we will process deletion requests on a case-by-case basis.

5. Contact

Questions about this policy, or requests to delete your data, can be sent to support@draftlint.com (placeholder — OWNER-TODO: confirm the real support inbox before launch).

Template legal copy — requires review by a human attorney before commercial launch.
